Little Blue Heron

I have only one shot of this species, and in fact, didn't realize at the time that it wasn't a Tricolored Heron. This bird was a bit far away, and this image is actually cropped a fair amount, so I didn't get a good look at it until I was reviewing the images on my computer. Canon 100-400, 1.4x II TC, at 560 mm, ISO 200, f/8, 1/500 second (manual mode, manual focus); Wimberley Sidekick/ArcaSwiss Ballhead/Gitzo tripod.
